Finally got the lift and tyres sorted. Over the last couple of weeks got:
2" Suspension Stuff flexy coils
Rancho adjustable shocks
Teraflex adjustable front track bar
Teraflex rear track bar bracket
PPM LCA's
JKS disconnect front sway bar links
JKS extended rear sway bar links
And then finally got the 285/70/17 MT ATZ 4-Rib fitted
It drives like a dream. So much more stable than stock. Bumpy roads don't unsettle the steering anywhere near as much as they used to and it corners much flatter (assuming I have the shocks dialed up a bit).
I ended up with about just over 2" of lift in the front and nearly 3" in the rear but that actually works quite well. The extra height in the rear doesn't bother me around town but it means that it still sits flat when loaded up instead of sagging in the back when loaded like it used to. All in all I'm really happy with the suspension so far. Just done 3000km to the High Country and back with a good mix of freeway work heavily loaded with camping gear and off road work and the suspension doesn't seem to have sagged/settled at all yet.
The MT ATZ 4-Rib are a little noisier than I was expecting but it's nothing too bad. They seem to handle well on road and I didn't have any issues with grip in the High Country at all so all good in that respect. They have chipped a little which I wasn't expecting though. They were down to 22psi on the steeper rockier stuff and I didn't really drive them hard so I was surprised to see chips out of them. I've abused the OE Wranglers much more in the past and never had them chip up at all. Will just have to keep an eye on them and remember to really drop the pressures when the going gets rough.
