Failed emissions pretty bad which I thought would happen. Now off to find some ve or bf cats off a holden or ford.
Failed noise test as well by 8 decibels. Hopefully the cats might quieten her down a bit. Ran out of time to do a dyno run, but at a guess be around 300 to 320hp at the wheels

So if anyone is thinking of getting the engine swap kit, bear in mind the whole exhaust system they provide to you will be useless and don't get it.
my brothers vz alloy tech V6 ran 4 cats standard he had them removed this was some time ago however

Nar needs to be a euro 4 or 5 catalytic converter. Cheapest route (as it will only be temporary) is to get some second hand ones of a ve or bf. The older models have the older euro 3

When I bought my headers I left out buying the cats for that reason as my research showed it would not work. I then fitted the Kooks ones that are euro 4 compatible and are high flow and quite small as well.

Were the only ones that would not set off a check engine light on the 2008+ vehicles which are Euro 4 spec. Can't remember where any more as read so many different forums to find ones that would do it.
There is a youtube video about them too when they were first released.

Thanks man!
Good to see you youngins into building things rather then breaking others property.
You've got a good dream but don't let the price scare you off. With you own fab work, using chevy instead of hemi, fabricated 9 inch diffs (plenty strong enough) instead of 14 bolt and having a tj instead of jk can cut the price down drastically.
If I were to do it again I would go tj.

Unfortunately I bought a house, so the next part of the build is on hold for awhile (which is kinda good...I love building this but something I can only afford to do once, so I don't mind making it last) and will also mean I may have to pass on the jeep safari. I will try and make an appearance, but with work dwindling and the job coming to an end, I doubt I can take time off for it.

Check out damagemans and Gojeep builds as well and JK07 if you're reading this do a build thread of yours! They all have some very impressive rigs and I have used them for knowledge and inspiration.
