yet another thing has gone wrong with the tj, cant get it to start, i started a thread in the tj section, if anyone else can offer advice it would be much appreciated, im almost at the point now where im going to sell it and buy another tj, this thing is a bloody lemon.

check your crank pinion sensor.

if you click your keys in the ignition a few times, it will give you a error code, check ur manual, this is a probable cause if its just suddenly not starting, and it ran fine last time it was running

iv tried the key sequence a dozen times to get it to display an error code but nothing..... which is the crank pinion sensor, there is more sensors in there than you could poke a stick at and iv no idea which ones are which.

well im a happy chappy ordered a crank angle sensor, delivered for $110, then i got to thinking and started searching about camshaft position sensors... and i love you stroked!!!! came across this that stroked had written up http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=85902

bally, be careful.. there might be a reason it has broken. what can happen is the busch on the shaft that rotated the sensor can flog out and it will just break another sensor if this is the case. if that happens then your best bet is to ring wooders or the wreckers or someone and get a new shaft. to reset the timing there is two tiny holes on the top of the sensor(plastic cover off) put a pin through both so they line up and you good to go.
