That is an excessive cost for what is not an expensive job.

Fan forced unit can fit in a few places: beside the gearbox, above the diff, between the chassis and the battery, etc.

I went with under the battery with a manual switch on the dash.

I think he gave me the young person's price they make good stuff but for that price is not worth it

I would be very interested in that write up wilf. At the moment that seams to be the best place to fit a cooler, how much gap do you have between the floor and the cooler to allow air circulation? Do you have a trans temp gauge or have you noticed a difference another way?

I've been reading through some of the older posts on here and a lot of you are refering to an original cooler in the radiator. I have just had my radiator out and there is no cooler in the radiator. It has a cooler joined to the airco condensor in front of the radiator but totaly seperate. Not trying to be to technical but thought it may help someone.

Does any one have an email address for Jeep Australia?
I am purchacing a CRD grand Cherokee diesel and I need to know if I require a transmission cooler fitted. I will be towing a Coromal caraavan with a GTM of 2520KGs if I have everything loaded
