My 12T $350 ebay winch in action. Used it a few more times and it is still going great. I did do the 30/30 rule took me about 10mins to get out as I did not want to overheat the motor. Only after reading this thread I wish I had greased the the gear box and drilled a drain and resealed the unit before it was fitted though. To do it now is a major job as the bar has to come off.

Certainly was! The winch did all the work for about 10 mins as I had 0 traction and was bogged down to the belly in some spots. I was bogged to the diffs for the entire time I was in the swamp.
