Following on from Milky01's effort, I added the 6.8uF non-polar caps to the front tweeters. What a difference!

Cost: $4.50 from Jaycar.

I left in the original 3.3uF & put these in parallel for a total 10uF. As per the calculator here, http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=1 , the crossover frequency is now ~4.8kHz instead of 14.6kHz.
The milk man delivers Although I did get the idea from another Jeep forum in the USA. A huge shame the stock tweeters have such a ridiculous crossover frequency.

Given the way hearing degrades as you age, I'm not sure I can hear anything over 14kHz any more! (I know I used to be able to hear up to ~19kHz, but it had to be loud and I could more feel it than hear it!)

Now it sounds more like the sound is all around me rather than at my feet & behind my head. YMMV as I am also running with the mesh doors as well.

I was going to type, I'm hearing ya! but after years of working and living on steam turbine ships, I probably can't. So I know what you mean!

I've never bothered to upgrade the sound systems in any of my cars for years as I really wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Default Snorkel and Plasdip rims

I had been surfing the net for while now and thought to myself, I could almost conduct brain surgery due to the info on Google and Youtube

I about a month ago, I had a crack at the Plasdip rims to black, they come up pretty good, took about 30min to prep all the wheel nuts, values, with tape and a bit of a wash with turps and a quick sand( nothing to serious) then just went along and started to spray the rims with the plasicdip. By the time I finished the last tire, the first one was almost ready to go for its second coat.

I have washed them at the local car wash using the the pressure hose and all still intact.

Today I had a slow leak and had to get a puncture fix and the tyre place did a bit of damage to the paint on the rim that was require fixing. The wife just peeled the paint off and I just spent about an hour getting that rim back to the same standard as the others. IMO it was a great way to get your rims to black with out the money issue.

The snorkel took me 3 hours, using a dremel, the normal issues of sweating bullets when you start the dremel up for the first time, but I checked everything 3 or 4 times and the instructions I had were a bit out. Again pretty impressed and the missus is really happy.
