Almost completed my axle seal replacement, driverside had been leaking for a month or so, it looked fully intact when I removed it so I am not sure what was going on there. I have yet to seat the new seals as I didnt have a socket/pipe the right size to tap them back in. The diff center was easier to get out than I expected which was a rare plus.

Thumbs up Roof Rack

I scored this stainless steel roof rack for $50 off Gumtree. Just have to make or find the brackets to suit.

I have had a leaking seal before and it still had its tension. It's a Jeep thing I suspect. BTW are you doing the seal with the housing in the vehicle? If yes get another person to hit the rod from the other side while you align the seal. If you don't you may struggle to get the seal to seal on the axle as it could go in lopsided.

Regards A
