Will keep fingers crossed for a while!

Get this. Refilled the radiator with a 55/45 mix of antifreeze/water, crank over the jeep and WAAAAAM. Power steering pump is now groaning like you wouldn't believe. Looks like i'll be changing that out within the week.

Damn jeep.
Ha! I hear you bud. Seems like whenever I fix something on mine something else pops up immediately. Think of it as a game of whack a mole!

Hang in there mate. I'm still fighting off the status quo who own Datsuns and toyos saying I should have been smarter about my purchase.

Best drain the bowl & see if it refills. Keep doing that until no more water is seen. Then change the filter element.

i drained it after i took the photo, then after the drive home (15k) there is more water in there, i must trust that water in fuel light more, it come on the other day when the trouble started but i took no notice as its alway coming on and going out as there is always a little amount of water in there (always has been since i brough it)

i was going to change the filter the other day, but got distracted and forgot, lucky i did

its well over due for a filter from memory it about 3yrs, but only done 20k

thats alright no rush for the CD, when you get a chance, Thanks

+1. The connectors behind the instrument cluster get dusty and need cleaning with some contact cleaner then dielectric grease (apparently).

I find pushing them forwards from the middle of the Perspex works best (temporarily).
