...yep, that's what knocking that little welded slocator allows you to do - push the intermediate pipe further into the Y connector (or there abouts). I reckon I got it 1/2" in, so now everthing is only about 1/2" different... all clearances etc still look good.

Your right. I also managed to push it in 1/2" too but the spacer is about 2" from memory. In my case cutting the exhaust about 1" (dremell is your best friend) allowed the rubber support to hang vertically down (as original) rather than being pushed at 45 degrees. It also helped with getting the clearance back around the rear sway bar and over the rear panhard as before.

Dropped bumpers off at powder coater tonight...

On the exhaust spacer thing, I measured and I reckon the exhaust spacer pushes the exhaust apart (front-to-back) about 30mm. The drivers side spacer was longer, but it is on a downward angle so it doesn't push the exhaust back the full length of the spacer. I was probably a bit generous saying I pushed the pipes together 1/2" - but given the amount of effort pushing them together, I will give myself 10mm.

So the rubber hangers are not at 45deg angle... but they are at a bit of an angle. Not enough for me to be concerned about. Tried to get some pics of them... kinda hard to get in there at the right angle.

This is the back one, on the passenger side:

This is the font one, kinda above the cross member:

This is the clearance of the exhaust from the rear cross member... I hung off the exhaust and pushed and pulled and rattled it around as hard as I could, and no contact anywhere:

And lastly - this is the rear hanger on the drivers side... this one is oriented different, at 90 deg to all the others, so you can see that the metal hanger is pushed further through the rubber than 'stock'... but its not stressed or at an angle:

Good enough for me... will also be installing new front and rear driveshafts later in the month, to be sure, to be sure...

Yea man- I think that's right near Excite powder coaters right?

....thought I saw a silver JK in a parking lot close by...

My better half used to have a tee shirt with a white rabbit on it, the caption said:

"what do you do with a unique rabbit... uneek up on it"

What do you do there at Uneek bending? I should say - what do you bend (uniquely)??

OK... been a while, I'm sure there has been some progress! Alot of re-installing so far this w/e...

Bars and carrier back from powder coater, reinstalled including a bit of painting here and there to cover up the dodgy jeep factory paint job, and to match the satin black bumpers and carrier:

Also installed the fox steering stabilizer with the new bracket (tie rod bracket) from DBOR...

Once I'm done tomorrow I'll clean up and get some updated poser shots...

Then on to the rear - installed the LED's and wired them up, then secured all the wiring ready for install with hundred-mile-an-hour tape:

To be continued...
