I ended up with a murchison lift with dobinsons front struts upgrade . The new murchison spring design has no top plates and is about 2.2" not 2.75".

Kept the rear self leveling shocks and very happy with the end result.

IMO the stock springs are far too soft. You end up bouncing around and hitting bump stops when going up dunes and coastal tracks which I don't think the rocky road spacer lift will address.

The Murchison set-up is good, it's firmer but also more comfortable. Vehicle feels more planted on the ground. Then we added 275/65r18 Hankook dynapro which improved the ride even more.. Soaks up bumps and feels smoother overall.

Thoroughly recommend this set up if your still considering options. The new sprinf design and front strut upgrade addresses the 2 concerns we previously had abt the Murchison option.

Hey MP14,

I am looking at a lift for my WK2 currently and think I am decided on Murchison.

When you say you kept the self leveling rear shocks in yours, did you do anything else at the rear? New Spring or packers etc?

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul
Yes the Murchison lift includes rear springs as well as front springs and the dobinsons shock upgrade.
FYI we did initially have issues with the dobinsons shocks which clunked alot but it turned out to be a faulty set of shocks. The replacement shocks are good, comfort seems as good as the stock ones so there are no issues with compatibility.

I am waiting for SBR Offroad in Perth to open on the 23 rd before I get my Rocky Road 2.5 inch spacer lift kit installed. After all the research there seems to be no issues with the RR and quite a few hit and misses with everything else. Besides the way they are made they sit on top of the standard shocks (which are great) and act as a point on the chassis. Also the shocks are not pre compressed causing no top out issues. Also due to Jeep making some GCs with airbags, which are essentially 2.5 inches at max lift it does not create too much of an angle on the CVs. Also they are a grand installed. Feel free to correct me if I have missed anything.
Cheers.

Yes, I believe so. If you check the seven slot offroad page that's what they have it advertised for (QLD). Called them as I am in Perth and they said check out SBR saying they were the same as them. Yet to speak with SBR but I am hoping prices are the same for WA.

Shout out to Seven Slot Offroad who helped me out even being an interstater directing me to people that know and care for Jeeps.

Swoit. Be sure to post back in here once you've touched base with them, and again once it's installed!
