Well it was parked right out the front of my studio (marrickville) - very busy area i wouldnt think anyone would try something in such a visible spot

The damage isn't worth claiming on insurance - it's just some deep scratches (as though made with a key or something) i don't think they were trying to get in, just cause some damage

I got out my black texta and coloured the scratches in, and they are a lot less noticable, but it still gives me the sh*ts

Anyway, getting back to the bikini's... does anyone have a photo of the side rear straps on the normal bestop 'strapless bikini'? They are giving me the shits, i don't think i have it right as the bloody thing flaps more than my safari which was friggin easy to work out but those rear corner straps have me all confussed. Any help?

The straps go around like in Big_T’s pic, but you get (at least on mine anyway) all of .0001mm spare strap to pull through the plastic fastener. Get a pair of pliers onto the strap end and yank it through if you can. It’ll stretch slightly over time, but IMO Bestop made those lengths of strap waaaaaay too small.

( Unless of course I’ve been fastening it wrong all these years as well... )

I am pretty sure that is the way it supposed to go, as I have the original instructions.

I agree the straps are way too short and have used many cable ties here and there to make it work.
Including the long strap that goes above your head to the footman loop on the windscreen.
