Totally Agree

I just today tried to disable esp via that method where you Turn the Steering wheel 180deg, hold esp button for 7sec etc etc and it didnt work? I tried it 5 times! Has anyone with an 08/09 JK tried this as its suppose to work. (this ones not a myth lol)

thanks for that eugeJK. yep both dealers with starscans, which have some amazing functions and external blokes with bosch tool, say it can't be done, and i have seen the enginuity tool which has these on/off functions, but none will permanently switch anything off. it's amazing the B.S. you get fed at times, when you make an honest enquiry. people would rather have a joke at your expense by exploiting your ignorance of their field of expertise thsn help you out. i'm 62 years old and i can definitely say this isn't the kind of australia i grew up in and not the way dinkum aussies behave. you sort of almost expect a bit of B.S. from a car yard but not outside in the auto industry at large. that's why people go to outside shops rather than caryards. they expect honesty and help.

eugejk the mods i have done with both cut down valve and egr block have ahd a few days to settle in now, have found hard starting problem gone, huge power boost has decreased to a mild increase with a very strong bottom end right off idle, and shutdown has very little death shudder as long as you leave it idle for 30 seconds or so before switching off. appears the ecu can adapt pretty well to changes.

I am quite fortunate to have a friend who is a computer programmer for Bosch here in Melbourne. We are going to dyno my JK and get some real world figs on the claims made here.
Likely to do the test next week.
