I just got myself a winch. Had a couple of situations where we I have been by myself in the bush and had to get some help after being stuck. Always made it out luckily, thanks to a lot of helpful peeps out there. But it gives you that extra piece of mind being able to pull yourself out of hairy situations ... or being able to help others who got stuck.

Agree...I bought my Runva for that occasional "bugger" moment when you get yourself stuck and no one is around.
Dyneema rope will take a good bit of weight off the bar, if you're looking to spend a few dollars on something......

Agree,

You don't realise how much weight there is in a steel cable until you replace it with a Dyneema one.

The shipping weight of the ZEON 10 is 45 Kg, the weight of the 10-S, which is the dyneema version of it), is 35 Kg. So taking the heavy fair lead into account it's in fact about 10 Kg more. I look into it soon.

Have been without parker lights for a while now - did something about it (finally)

Wasn't able to solder the wires to the spade connectors, heat shrink material was too large, had to use patch leads to get them hooked up (2x 100cm strip lights cut to length) the top is crooked due to the super cheap mesh not being fully centered (out at the top) and I really cbf fixing it tonight - going to redo all of the wiring in the future with duetsche connectors when I can be bothered...
