Some details about the bar
I started with 125x125 6mm box tube, I preferred 5mm but that’s all they had. Quarters out of 300x5mm flat bar
To create the bar profile I cut the box into a c-channel (long top).
I then bent my beaver, ha ha.
Chose my corner rake angle
Bent the side quarter sections
Trimmed and tacked as I went

My method for bending 4mm plus plate is simply cut a channel with a grinder using some flat bar as a ruler and then working it with old lumpy and block/stump, Old school. Going back and welding the channel.
Sounds like a day job but I can tell you I’ve gone through 30 100mm cutting disks so far
I mounted the bar with box tube into the unit-body, picking up all available bolts. Also with a through flange picking up the original bumper bolts so a total of 16 bolts I think
Still need to cut and fold lower rear quarters (body) so I can box the bar quarters.
I need the bar quarters to bolt on like my TJM bulbar, so I can remove the bar itself.my rear bar requires a jiggle and pivot up to come off.
O FYI box steel is very springy when cut open to the point I could not work with the off cuts

Can you post this up in the Custom and Fab thread. I would love to see a few pics that I could one day give to the bloke who hopefully can build me a bar as I can't.

Changed the heater tap. Used one from a vn commodore. cheap as chips. Removed the stupid IR keyless entry system and installed a RF unit. Also fitted a smitty bilt gear seat cover. Got it for $105 delivered because it had a tear in it. pretty happy with it.

I mean $190 for a 500gm package from the US. Trust me I didn't go ahead with the order. I just hope I don't get stuck somewhere without mob range before I can get one in two weeks. So far it has managed to kick in after a few goes and letting it sit for 15mins.

Try Ashdown Ingram for the starter bendix or any other starter parts, they're auto-electrical wholesalers, resell to repco etc but sell to the public too. I needed a new bendix for my Sierra, rang them with the part number and was able to pick it up over the counter that day. Maybe a little different for you but I'm sure they'll ship one out
