I believe they are a drop in replacement for the update models(1997 onwards), read back the last two pages and it will be confirmed.

i had benefits with old 2nd hand injectors. these had been sitting on my workbench for 5 years.

ran a full bottle in injector cleaner anyway on 1/4 tank just to be sure, voila, no dramas!

definately much better mileage, esp under load. high revs no difference in accel either.

rainman - awesome thread, thanks mate!

Been watching this for a while. I have a 99 with 120k on the motor. I run 31s and have the diff ratios reduced (3.73 instead of 3.55 or the other way round - its an auto).

I can get 15.5 highway. Town/ country mix 18. Towing my work trailer 21-22 depending on load... so obv I'm looking at economy savings! Not keen on an lpg conversion etc. Happy with the power and drivability - dont need to go fast. Have hitech headers which I'm sure made a difference to towing. Pulls my 0.75 - 1.5ton trailer and load easily.

I'm thinking of dropping these commodore injectors in as it seems like its a good option. I get a consistent 20-22 l on the computer depending on what im pulling around. Never usually outside that range so I'm thinking if these really save fuel and add power then I'll see different numbers after a few tanks. (I'll do maybe 10 stops and starts again between jobs so the ecu should learn quickly). I'll use maybe 1-2 tanks per week.

Apart from new o-rings anything else I need to do when dropping the new injectors in? I'll reset the ecu for sure.

no, just check the injector electrical connectors 99 was a change over year from jetronic/minitimer/EV1 type injector electrical connector to
EV6/USCAR type injector electrical connector.
pics in the first post.
use google images if you need more pics to be sure.
figure out what you have then see where you are at.
