Oh, i forgot to answer Pipeliner's Q... I don't know what the average speed was. The trip was Melb - Mallacoota (2 daytrips) and return to Melb. The freeway sections are predominately 110kph, and the rest is 100kph. I'd guestimate that 900km+ was on freeway/fast roads?

I get around 10.5L/ 100km around town and about 10L/ 100km on the highway out of my 02 KJ crd. I usually have A/C flat out and it has an arb winch bar that doesnt look light. I was trying to make it better but it doesnt seem to bad.

Darn these CRD's (where's the "shaking fist" icon when you need one )

I've been putting my foot down a litte TOO much this week and managed to come in at 19.5/100km out of the last tank. So the big mudders came off tonight as did the roofrack, and now I'm back on my loverly quiet ATZ's, time to try and save the planet instead of single handedly depleteing the worlds oil reserves

G'day all

I have been keeping a spreadsheet since purchasing the vehicle to keep an eye on my mileage. (attached screen dump)
As you can see I have never bettered 8.35 klm/L (23.6 mpg)....the very first tank full. The average has worked out to 7.49 km/L or 21.15 mpg.

The last seven tanks have been BP ultimate and it appears that there is no increase in the mileage by using this product .....in fact it is slightly worse.
All the driving has been city commuting with the odd short country trip but no off road(as yet).

Overall that seems to be on a par with what others are getting I think ...but at this point I think I am going to go back to the normal diesel. The extra expense doesn't seem justified by the results.
