I'm seriously thinking of buying one of those taps for the sump, more for ease of draining for this old fart as I rarely overfill now.....

I have new sump tap back in Aust ,wouldnt fit the recessed hole in WH sump.$12.00 + postage. Not back in Aus till March

Well ,they put 9 litres oil went in only 600 mill over,so not real worried. Sump bung is now leaking, they said they could not find a front lift point,Oil cap put on the wrong way, spilt oil all over the engine!Geez some of these guys are useless .Admitted they never done an oil change on a WK2 before and gave it to the apprentice to do!

You disable the Quadralift whenever you jack it up to change a tyre or whenever the vehicle is being tied down on a car carrier/trailer - it stops the vehicle self levelling whilst the engine is shut down.

Fill capacities varied slightly over the model years as changes were made to the engines ie: changes in the sump castings (upper & lower sections) which altered how much oil it would hold etc.

Cheers

8.5lts on the 11-13 models then 7.7 therafter, I think there was some misinformation earlier as they didn't update the glove box book till later.... On my 15 I always just pour in 7lts, give engine run then have a coffee then check the dipper, add half a litre and its all good, then I change the fuel filters, leave the stinky job to last..... I also have slapped some marker paint on the lift points, mainly so I can find the spot easily ....

Today my Grand tried the 0-100k boot in the guts blast, have no idea of the time but it can still launch...

You think that is bad,
I brought mine for the 12mth service to the dealer, and the stupid ********s couldn't even put the filter cover back on correctly, Fucked up the thread and the little ring seal. handed it back to me with oil leaking down the side of the engine.
Fucking Morons, and had the neck to charge me $595 for this premium service
