Fucking Morons, and had the neck to charge me $595 for this premium service
Would have ripped it up'em so fierce, I'd be fuming.................... in my working days, 6 day weeks so when I got my WG I thought to save me a bit of my one day off I would use the mechanic workshop next to our yard where most of our blokes would get their cars done, provided the right oil and filters, get my Jeep back at end of day, air box lid not on properly and a big splash of oil over everything, made a point of cleaning it up and putting the lid back on before I drove off, when he asked I said you blew a customer this time and never went back.. Thankfully I wasn't letting anybody do my fuel filter as prime required finesse....... seems I fall into the let someone else do the work about once a decade ...

Have only ever used Dealerships with new vehicles to ensure Warranty coverage....I know you dont have to...but at the time I had NO wiggle room to be 'playing' with legalities if it went pear shaped...it cost me my time to check over the vehicle before it left the Dealership...luckily I was buying a few and the Workshop Foreman only came out the first time to ask me what I was doing....after that...he did ensure all was 'honky doorey' before I was allowed to check it over....you know...real service...check over...test drive....then a final check over after the test drive...thing called 'Quality Control' we USED to get....costs the Dealership money so it doesnt happen now....Apprentice 'finishes' doin wot he thinks is ok, then takes it for a flat out lap of the duburb if its a 'sporty' vehicle, few donuts in nearest dirt carpark if its a 4WD....or just parks it in the yard if its a 'normal' vehicle...no joy in normal...sad really....I genuinely dont mind paying for quality....has never bothered me....you pay peanuts you get monkeys...has been my mantra in everything, no matter what it is....BUT.....if Ive paid well I DEMAND top notch...anything else WONT be accepted....money back or full redo...no other options

Yes hoping it's something other than the devil hoses, but having had a chance to have a proper look around, and couldn't see any other signs of coolant in my quick look earlier. Only a small amount on the concrete and bash plate and coolant level doesn't seem to have dropped, so nothing catastrophic yet. Other issue being it's parked facing slightly downhill, so a rear of engine dribble could come forward...

It's booked in for a service in a few weeks so it'll be minimal driving until then

Ive been wondering if it may be time to plan to drag the van down to the Big 4 park near Dreamworld and drop the Jeep in at 7 slot and get some preventative surgery done, just having the coin to cover the park fee is hard enough let alone for the mechanics....... recent spanner work has shown the fingers are stuffed so jobs like lifting the lid on the engine are now past... so injuries from 20 yrs ago now coming back.
