Packed for a week on the murray

New shelf system worked better than planned. have sleeping gear, clothes and 5 days of food (less the fruit fly exlusion ones) and it all just peeks above the rear seat.

Tent, chair's and Cobb cooker on the roof. It's sitting a little low in the bum compared to our last couple of trips? Might be able to justify new suspension and airbags.

Fitted my new thermo clutch fan

Why so little room?

Works better already.
Takes a rather long time for the electric fan to come on at idle

1500km in 22hrs with only a few hrs rest ~ not sleep in the middle, towing about 2 & a bit tonnes for 1/2 the trip, empty tandem for the remainder. It didnt miss a beat. Got a bit warm going up a few hills, back to 3rd a few times, but nothing serious. Who said diesel XJ's were unreliable? It would probably do it again starting today, Im a bit to stuffed though!!

Where abouts ? I am often around between Strathy & Barmah most weekends. Its dried out a lot. There are 2 more bridges washed away. Just another casualty of environmental flows & lack of timber collection.
have fun!

Where do shims go in the shackles? Also pins are you referring to the bolts?

ApacheResistance made up some adjustable shackle brackets that he is checking different positions and is saying he installed new pins (bolts) that go through the new shims under the leaf spring, clear as mud
