I'm a bit over mud too. It seems they mix liquid nails with it.

Behind the diff cover

And it appears to be a little more expensive than most with that air locker in there.

I think that the oil leak path is a vulnerability when the warm diff housing hits the cool water and that causes the air pressure to suddenly drop inside the cover and they can suck water in. Is the diff vent in the stock location or have you raised it, because they are only around the top of the tyre height?

That's an Eaton E-Locker, if it's rusted I hope they cover it under warranty

It was defintiely leaking from the drivers side axle seal...at least. Ruffy commented on it the other day. His fault then

But, yes, you are correct about cool down vacuum effect.

The breather was extended up to the bonnet hinge a couple of years back.

There's a thread on when I sucked water into the tranny, and rebuilt it, somewhere on here. That was when I realised that vent was only 2" long
Best project I've done for a while.

Since then I've picked up a freebie trannie (not what you're thinking of...lol) and will go through your notes later to upgrade it. I've a 2800 stall torque to install and maybe some kevlar shit.

Due to the whole Photofucket blackmail scandal the pics are hidden in that thread.
And like everyone else I'm not paying their $400 per year ransom.

I'll send you all my pics or maybe reupload the pics into that thread.

I found the label of the transmission rebuild kit too. I'll whack it up too
