Honestly Jj, I've never seen any..
Just asumed the torx headed bolt woulda been stock. Most people replace them with hex head bolts.

These bolts are the stock UCA bolts, the bolt on the left is the diff end, the bolt on the right is the chassis end....

Wow, thanks for that Jj.
Gotta say, I've never seen anything like that anywhere near my XJ. I'll jump under Josho's XJ tomorrow and check it out.

cheers

got my adaptor made up to fit the EGT sensor.

used the original fitting (as I could not find anything else to fit) and had a plug a soldered in with a inner NPT 1/8 thread, cost only $12 from pirtek

Default sorry for the long winge....

Ok, I nearly have my fuel tank out. Strap bolts are stuck solid!!
Gunna soak 'em over night.

Been thinking. Do my symptoms match a dying fuel pump or pressure reg???
Reason I ask is, when I took the fuel line off this evening, no pressure. Kerry had the car out today and I only gave it time to cool before getting stuck in. It's had pressure before.
These are my previous winges ...

Since the Sigma has been off the road, the XJ is the DD. Trying to get time between kids to school, sport, misses and her sport and me having the rare good day.........

Hand got forced today. While visiting the inlaws. On the way up it stumbled on bumps.?? Got to the dirt road up to the farm and all hell broke loose.

Weren't sure we'd make home. Cough and fart so bloody violently I thought it would kick the rear diff out from under the JEEP!!!

I've pulled the fuel filter and it was ************. Fuel is black. I think my original diagnoses was on the money... ???? I'm pulling the tank anyway and giving it a good clean. Blowing out the fuel lines, new filter.

I'll check the plugs etc, it was on the cards for tomorrow, believe it or not

Kids are buying a week bus pass.

I love my JEEP

Replaced 'em today. They were a little gold on the insulator and grey on the earth. Been hot. Worn evenly, all 6. Massive gaps.

New plugs and fuel filter, went for a fang. Awesome!! Smooth acceleration, more power. Nice. Down a dirt road. Ok. Out the highway, all good. Turned around, on the way home and as we hit bumps, cough! bump - cough!. Arghg!!

Taking the tank out tomorrow....
Thanks for any and all advice peoples...

cheers
