fitted new upper&downstream o2 sensors. New oil and filter then noticed some coolant leaking from water control valve(heater tap). gave it a wiggle, bloody thing fell apart. great. jumped on ajor and in 5min found that one from a VN commodore fits. shoot down to supercheap, yep got one $30. Fitted no worries and xj running sweet again.
gotta love the forum.

$12 of alloy $2 for 4 bolts a few washers. Now have transfer case 1inch lower and no vibrations. Yay. SYE is in the future though.

32s how do you plan on not having the tyre rub? My 31s rub on the arms and the bash plate and they are only 31/10.5. I would hate to think how much turning circle I would lose if I did get 32s as a few suggested.

Regards A

My 31's rub too AG on the sway bar and lower arms. I have to washer out my stops. It puts my wheel balance out over time. These Bighorn 764's I run are supposed to be 31. They measure out across the tread around 31 3/4. I am still running my Sime Centipedes on the rear (31x10.5x15) and visually the Bighorns are bigger looking than my Simes. Rims are on the list with zero backspace. However after having my worked blue 96 one stolen I am wary modding this one. I got a jaycar gps tracker in the green girl now. So I'm going to build this original 1st XJ of mine. Divorce put a dampener on a lot of things. But I'm firing again.

Mostly through steering- and bump-stops, as well as rim offset. Looking at going to 0 or -6 offset (so around 4" backspacing on an 8" rim i think?)

I'm running around 32" rubber on 0 offset no rubbing on arms or bashplate. Just the guards, trimmed but still need more and firewall at full stuff and lock but that's a matter of too small bumpstops. Fronts have a good 1.5" past the guards though.
