What Jeep do I drive?: XJ

had to pull my sway bar out yesterday when i noticed a large rattling noise when the car was warming up. Thinking my timing chain was about to go i climbed under and noticed the D bush bracket had snapped in half.

Muddy, a XJ diesel with a timing chain? Now that would be a sight given their cam is gear driven !!

I swear there is a chain of some description in the bottom of the timing cover..or am i thinking of the 2.1L ?? i would check the FSM but my HDD went the other day

The earlier VM had a timing chain up to about 96. They went for the cam idea.

tackled andersons track and won. it maybe the hardest track bunyip state forest has to offer as its steep and in bad condition.

I had some noise I could not find & it turned out to be my p/s bearings!@

Under the fan belt & spin the p/s pulley.
