I'm amazed you rate the shocks i find they top out badly feels like they will actually damage the car they hit so hard on extension when driving off anything at all even a speed hump
Haven't had anything like that from the shocks, previous Ironman springs on other vehicles have been good thats why I opted for them this time, just thought a bad batch, which happens I have gone through about 4 sets of Gabriels in a couple of months once, the odd OME Big Oil shock so failure happens probably more than many notice, I have always kept an eye on the tape measure... The original shocks and springs on this WK2 were totally sagged at 40K kms, down to 445mm on the front from a base line of 490mm, so well and truly stuffed... I do wonder about the weight Jeep has over the front end as bog standard its close to axle load, chuck it on a bridge and see.

The original springs definitley were not up to the task mine were sagged beyond usefulness at 100k and the upper arms were stuffed too with little to no offroad use i suspect in the cars life

Cant actually argue that, it seems Jeeps idea of serviceable life for suspension parts on grands is very short

Replaced upper arms with JBS ones with the front struts/springs as well
I honestly had to agree that the "engineering" of the Ironman combo leaves a lot to be desired as they spring rates and shocks just do not seem to match well
Not sure I will have time to do much else other than use the replacements as i need the car mobile to get to work

Consumer affairs would say i don't have to take the replacement and can ask for a refund but I've wasted enough time on Ironmans "customer service" thus far
And as stated i need the damn Jeep mobile however if the replacements knock/ top out as badly as the first lot I will be speaking to there warranty dept again soon Im sure
