stock Vs Stock, i think it would depend on model..

V6 2 door Jk, Vs say 06 model TJ.. pretty similar (maybe jk just ahead with 32s)

V6 4 door Jk vs 06 model Tj.. depending on trail, would be pretty even.

rubicon is a completely different story, more so in the 2 door, its probably the first very capable jeep in Aus out of the box

i dont see a problem with thrashing a 45k car through the scrub it is called a shake down break all that is going to break get it fixed under warenty then make it better

the dealer loved my jk because it is a one off and it takes them an hour to clean it enough to find the things they need to check
i have had it bogged stuck up on logs bent broken and full of mud inside and out
that is what it is built for not a coffee cruiser mall craller
quite a few of us pansy ass jk drivers do get them scratched and dirty

You have forgotten about the brake-lock diffs. Makes a HUGE difference. There is no question that the JK would go further than the TJ in this comparison.

I don't think anybody can truly say that a stock TJ is more capable than a stock JK. Simply because of the traction control devices, bigger tyres and greater ground clearance.

I take my stocko places i've never seen any other stock vehicle go. I'd rather scrape the tank plate than the door sills or remove the rear bumper like you would on most other makes.
