Yesty, after doin the wheel bearings, I decided to get all MD like.
Wanted to try and pinpoint the rumble in the rear.

So, I jacks up the XJ, stands, grabs a length of 12mm Dowell, approximately 500 long, then remembered, damn, f'n blue dog will chase down the neighborhood kids if'n I open the shed. Epiphany!!
Wack the 3" vacuum hose on the tailpipe and out under the garidge door. Yup. I'm just like a dyno tune now.

Found the LHR wheel bearing is the culprit.

Also found out that, me blue dog gets hypnotized by spinning wheels.

Cheers

I wanted to use a longer bit of dowel, but 500mm was all I had.
It's ok, I put me beard in a piggy tail, so it didn't get caught up in any spinny things. oh, and tucked me flanny in.

Blue started wanderin around the shed when I started the XJ up, so I barked at 'im " sit'own ya dopey rabbit, or ya'll get 'urt. " so he sat n stared at the wheel spinnin.

I was relatively safe, as I zoomed around the rear of the XJ on me creeper, poking the diff housing around where the bearings are with one end of the dowel and stuck the other end of it in me ear 'ole.

I want a stethoscope, But Kerry said the stick in me ear ... . ..... [I didn't realise boogers could do that..]... oh,

... any way, the XJ was in D, if it fell off the stands and jack and flew over the wheel chocks it woulda only shot outa the shed into the back yard and into the kitchen. It was only idling anyway.

Jeez I've been feelin strange lately.... haven't been sleepin well...

cheers

Stress. And fear of the unknown. Life's a cun7 right now, but we deal with it and move on.
