I have been researching lifts all day.. For a good comparision site to see the different combinations in height, I found this is a good page.

I keep bottoming out with the mopar 2" lift so time to get a bit higher.

Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 285/70/17
Rough Country 3.25" lift.
Stock wheels
Tyres are nice and quiet and handle better than the stock tires .

go for the 4.5 backspacing, clears everything up to at least 12.5 wide tyes on 9 inch rims, then throw on some guard extensions or wider flares....sorted

ps- don't let people freak you out about the legality of it all, just keep the wheels covered, mud flaps on, and keep the oem wheels and tyres in the garage as a quick fix to remove any defect instantly

weeks worth of camping gear in back so she's riding low... will go some dbor flat fenders when funds permit
Great balanced advice sladey from my experience.

cheers, the only defect I worry about clearing is having to pull the front bumper (winch and all), but even that is not to bad knowing every part I have ever pulled off is still in the garage. minus that stupid bloody plastic fantastic under bumper guard thingamabob
