LR Australia are fighting my mate with a broken electronic seat, 6 months out of warranty.

Surprised me actually.

He will end up having to go to fair trading / NCAT etc.

It can be difficult getting car companies to comply with the law, but to be fair the new CEO seems to be making a good effort to get their act together. The Destroy my Jeep guy has had some good things to say lately. They actually got him to go in and present to the FCA execs on what they are doing wrong and they have been actively buying back cars and getting stuff fixed that should have happened originally. So I'm feeling better about being a jeep owner who is about to come out of warranty.....
Good to hear..They have a lot of ground to make up to improve sales..Always thought the "Destroy My Jeep" bloke was a bit over the top (dramatic) but it's the end result that counts..I know the ACCC has been on FCA's back about Customer Service...And of the huge drop in sales of the WK2 from it's dizzy height of No3 to about 16th last I looked makes a big difference..tends to motivate them and get the finger out....My concern is if they don't follow up with the change back to MC...the decider if I go for the new TrailHawk or leave my over 20years association with Jeeps.

They have have been recognised as MC equivalent.

Newer units will end up with MC on the plates depending on when they put them on etc.

Thanks SnakeDoctor..makes me feel a little easier..With "Equivalent" do you know if FCA will or are issuing any documentation or compliance label amendment??..If I were an affected owner I'd want something...Better to flash a piece of paper rather than try to explain if needed. One thing I did notice is Where is the 3L Diesel Variants listed??
