Got the same letter today - haven't bothered with the clockspring recall as yet as I'm too damn busy with work lol

Anybody else's steering column squeaking since having the recall done?
I know it's a jeep and everything and it might seem like I'm carrying on, but once I noticed it it's one of those things that I can't now not notice and it's beginning to drive me crazy

Mine is as quiet as usual. If it is that bad, (and I can believe it will be soon if it isn't already), I'd go back & get them to fix it. Unless you can do it yourself. That is my preferred method, unless I know I can get them to do it.

I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned but mopar.com has a vin check function that you can see what campaigns and recalls are outstanding against your vin. It's US based and requires registering, apparently you can access an online owners manual but that didn't work for me. I also have this J24 towbar recall registered there. I don't recall ever getting the letter and i have the factory towbar that came with the vehicle purchased new. Called up and they didn't know about it at first and then said there's no parts but it's just an inspection required and then they will see if they need to order parts. The online system states:
"THE MOPAR BRAND TOW BAR PURCHASED FOR USE MAY ALLOW THE TOWED VEHICLE TO BECOME DETACHED FROM THE TOW VEHICLE. THIS CAN RESULT IN A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.
Repair Description
THE CROSS TUBE, VERTICAL HITCH PINS, HAIR PINS, HORIZONTAL HITCH PINS, FRAME MOUNTING BRACKETS, AND FASTENERS MUST BE REPLACED"
So I guess untill they provide a letter otherwise I'll present a print out of this and say there's no mention of inspection as an appropriate remedy. So you can either get the parts and replace it or provide me the FCA approved inspection methods in writing.
I tow up to 2 tonne (infrequently) but don't want this potentially messing up and voiding insurance.

I had them done last week. Front passenger side airbag, clockspring and side mirror wiring. I was contacted by the dealer via phone.

I was told when mine was inspected about the J24 needing to be done. But, like the passenger airbag, they are waiting for the parts to come in. (To Oz, I presume, not the dealer.)

I need to get mine done sick of getting regestered letter from the post office.
What happens if you don't get it done?
I know the air bag can save your life in a crash. But the problem with the air bag light only happens if you drive in a dusty invironment.
I feel for all the people who put a new clock spring in out of their own pocket. Is jeep going to reimburse them.
Sadly I don't think so!
