Wife took the xj to work today and I get a panicked phone call about the cel light being on, couldn't for the life of me think as to the cause then remembered that I had the coolant sensor unplugged the other day when I tried to reseal my thermostat housing that won't seem to stop leaking even with a new gasket and blue sealant. She parked it at work called me then to tell me she found something under the bonnet at the front that looked like it needed plugging in, problem solved, working temp gauge again, will sort the cel when she gets home with the ultra gauge.
She is a keeper

Sway bar D-bushings install question: the split in the rubber, does that need to go on one specific side or not?

Cheers.

Up or against the chassis rail, only fit 1 way. Actually depends on the bush. Just checked and saw some have the split to the side so I would fit that to the back or facing backwards

Now that my replacement radiator has been in for a week or so without any issues I drained it and refilled it with a nice batch of green stuff, just need to get it up to temp a few times to get the level sorted before it heads to Sydney, this will give me a chance to measure my fuel consumption on a decent run to see where it's at after the OBD2 swap....

Looked at my passenger side link bushes and they are completely f'd the uppers are all but gone Cant work out for the life of me why that side the sway bar link sits at a different height to the other side. I think this is why my bushes are splitting to pieces though.

Regards A
