RTC dampers are a band aid for those who aren't prepared to make the effort to find the correct solution.......

well such comments deserve some kind of complete answer really,

I had the tough dog 2 inchlift in my jeep for 12 months or so
I didnt think it was too hard,, it drove well on and off road.
it didnt sag as quickly as my pro comp set up
The RTC is actually the best thing I had one my jeep.. since it blew out Ive had one stock two pro comp ones and nothing feels as good as the tough dog RTC did

only problem is because of its thickness it rubs on your tie rod a little. over time being the cause of death

having run this lift I feel it was better than my pro comp lift. and wish they made a 4 inch to replace my current set up
oh and I paid heaps less than the OME lift,.this was in 03. from opposite lock

Please bear in mind that I'm only talking of their big bore shocks...they still do a 35 mm that's supposed to be just right for a HEEP...

I know very little about these things but I have just had Pedders quote me $650 for 2 inches worth of springs and coils.

I called 4way suspension, about the adjustable toughdog bigbore shocks. He wouldnt sell them to me for my TJ unless I came in so he could custom fit them, didnt want any bad feedback, which is fair enough. So I went in and he measured my lift etc, changed a few things on them, spent 2 hrs on it.He was very helpful. I think these shocks are great. Had them about 2 yrs and I think they will last for ages. You will need rear lower shock extensions and will have to adjust your exhaust,I cut mine off after the muffler. I also got bar pin eliminators. Not cheap, but top quality.
