Well I bit the bullet and bought the TomTom Go 720, it looks the goods on paper for what I need it for, but being so new their are very few decent reviews available. So far it is very easy to use (the basics are anyway).

I guess time will tell.

For the Map to ground (Topographical Maps) and Nautical charts I'll be using my giant PDA (Electrovaya Scribbler) for now.

Nice work Chilli man. I bought the NAVMAN N50 or something like that and to get me around town for work and on weekends, it is fine. For the $500 i spent 9 months ago, it has been better than driving with one eye on the UBD and the other on the road.

My partner is a big fan.

If you guys need POI's have a look at www.ozpoi.com
Not sure if they have goat nightspot POI's there though LOL

They have a monster truck icon to replace the arrow in TT

Yeah, already loaded with Sensis 14, POI's and Cams.

I wasn't sure initially as most of the Aussie reviews (not that any were of any real assistance) stated that they were yet to load the POI's and Red light Cameras onto the GO 720, but they are loaded.
