Thanks mate. I have read the vertical visions TIPM solutions. My understanding from reading
http://m.australiancar.reviews/revie...erokee&gen=483 is that my particular model was not recalled. To my knowledge the TIPM was never replaced, I never took it in for a TIPM recall. The dealership have told me they replaced the fuel pump relay when doing the pump, but my understanding is that the TIPM can progressively kill itself meaning the whole thing needs to be replaced? I am hopeful my case with FCA will yield something in the way of a new TIPM and reimbursement for the difference, but I’m not holding my breath!
I can’t see any other info online about other possible causes for this problem? I have been positive My issue has been TIPM related all along but the dealership aren’t having a bar of it. If I wasn’t in the hole for $3k with them I’d be taking it elsewhere. I have not received any commincation from the service manager during the whole process. I’ve had to call at least 5 times a day and leave just as many messages to even get through to him. Never in my life have I experienced such terrible service
I won’t be authorizing any further works until hearing from FCA / getting assurance any works will be at no cost to me (I haven’t paid for anything since the fuel pump) At this stage I’m happy driving around in my loaned alpha Romeo while they check and clean connections under the hood hoping for a quick fix
