Did a Kimbeley's trip in 09 without a trans cooler. I took it easy as we were having 40C temp days. We were towing so except for some of the nth/sth route we did short drives per day. Trans damage can get expensive, earlier this year my son's Falcon trans cost $4K for a reco replacement (big labor component). As a cooling issue, I'm still contemplating bonnet vents as well. Getting hot air out of the engine compartment is a major factor.

Tuesdays' Transmission appointment was postponed due to me needing to be in Hervey Bay... Will have to re-schedule. As I mention apart from the T/light being on the car performs as normal
