Been away for a couple of days. The first crossmember i made up was a cut down standard one. It gave a lot more clearance,but for all the work involved i would have been better making the flat bar job up. Live and learn,all part of the evolution of a good set up. I will take the cross member back off and take some pics,with measurements.By the way i had a bit of trouble with the gear box mount,its important to get the positioning right or you will get a lot of vibration,as i did first off.

That's why I plan to keep the original caddy for the transmission mount, as it has indents to keep it from spinning around. But it will be chopped up a lot as I don't need a lot of sections from it.

Did you lift the transfer case higher with your new crossmember
