Gauge go beep & light comes on...I drive into nearest servo & fillup.....Then drive until Gauge go beep & light comes on again.....
I seriously haven't bothered to look at my TJ's fuel consumption....Know it doesn't make it any better & I know it sucks....so I just feed it when it's hungry & forget.....

I ususally get around the 360 mark before the light with 31's, rarely I get these weird tanks that go to the 400 mark before the light comes on.

Average for me is about 14.2 L/100km, sometimes down to high 13's.

Thats around 400 or so till the evil 'FEED ME' light comes on. Although, on an extended trip out west, I have tested the longevity of a tank on the yellow light...not by choice however. When there is 230km between fuel stops you sorta just have to drive....I drove 87km on the red light - and still only put in 68.5 litres (tank is 72). Got about 500 out of that tank.

Used Caltex vortex PULP last tank - got much better fuel economy. Up here there is such variablility in fuel quality - unfortunately discount servos seem to be the worst, even with PULP.

But alas, when one owns a jeep, one cannot dwell on such vagaries as fuel consumption - it's just one of those jeep things most of us don't want to understand...or we'll cry.

But hell....at least I don't own an accent. (cheap dig at my girlfriend standing behind me)
