Thanks everyone for the advice here, there is a lot of good information!

I've decided it will be 2" lift to keep things both simple and also legal (NSW).

I've read plenty of reviews on coils and either the ride is too harsh, or they sag! haha

But I'll definitely look into the Murchison Flexy Coils. I had SuspensionStuff Flexy Coils on a Patrol years ago and I was always happy with them, but SS apparently only sells King Springs for the JK and not the Blue Flexy Coils (I Believe they were Dobinsons?). And as mentioned above, the King Springs can be had for $499 with shocks on ebay.

Does anyone know the legalities in NSW of using coil spacers, and shock extenders?

Thanks again for the replies.

Coil spacers not actually legal anywhere as I believe.

Suspension Stuff used to make the flexy coils but dont anymore. The ones from Murchison are now them amd they are black. Had the SS Flexy Coils on my JK and they were great teamed up with Bilstien 5100's at 25in.

This is not surprising.
The more "flexible" they are, regardless of brand, the more susceptible to they are higher loads and load distribution.
The heavier the springs are, such as the Lovell type, usually OEM 2" lift, the more suitable for general use and higher loads where as the more flexible ones are directed more at off road performance.
It comes down to "horses for courses".
The heavy ones are easier to install though due to the shorter free length.
Then there are other things to consider to make the vehicle suspension compatible with the spring selection.
I would hope that this would not be a problem though if buying a kit.

Coil spacers are legal everywhere, You will find most of the state government transport departments recommend small coil spacers to correct vehicle height as they do not affect the spring rate. Wheel spacers on the other hand are generally not legal anywhere.

I might look back into that as they were specifically mentioned in at least QLD regs as not being legal. This may have changed with NCOP and QCOP.

They were however previously listed specifically as legal in SA.
