yes i may be the biggest tosser, the most hated etc etc, i can take it...

but my point is that is seems over the years that the squeeze has gone on the locals to get every last dollar since the tourist decline in the early 2000's

my wife and i have been travelling to queensland at least once a year over the past 15 years and have found that prices are getting rediculous.....most victorians find it better value travelling to asia than queensland.... i hate that..

this is no doubt a ploy to get 4x4's back into the wheeling parks so everyone can get a slice of the $$$

Anyways - I dont mind using 4x4 parks - they have better tracks than any open land and when I get sick of using off road parks I can kick back at home - the pool was 28 deg today Toly..

The only problem with Qld is that too many Victorians are escaping that dump and moving here...
not doubting the weather that you have up there alex, i do venture up to have a taste of your wonderful "beautiful one day, perfect the next" weather....... not sure about victorians escaping alex that was more 20-30 years ago during the tourist boom

dump, we have a fantastic cosmopolitan life and atmosphere with sport as religion and now an arid climate with nice bayside beaches.....

oh yeah alex, it rains way too much up there , maybe 10x the average more than here, funny that for a cold wet place it is down here in the antarctic

There would be a lot of insurance liability issues for the owners of the land.

Really don't see why there is suprise here as Ormeau has been closed for a very long time. It's just that they have turned a blind eye to it. Personally i would like them maybe to turn it into a 4wd day park where you have to pay a nominal fee to enter. Maybe that'll keep the dickheads out that have turned it into dumping ground in places. It really is depressing when you see the amount of shit that is dumped in these places.
