Please correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that a hydraulic fluid is doesn't expand when headed (well very little) & resists being compressed, where as ATF expands when heated & has a measure of compression to withstand shock load.
James probably said it better then me.
To me the wording on the bottle is aimed at commercial/Industrial applications & "Transmission" dose not mean Automatic Transmission.
