[QUOTE=JarrardB;885220]Now I just have to figure out a way to stop the jack touching the body at full swing... not far off now..

Nice work, pretty close to what I imagined doing. You beat me to it!! Still challenge you to do a light bar...

To stop it swinging a bit too far, you could weld a triangular piece of metal to the top (and bottom if you wish) of the swing arm, near the swivel point near the body mounting bracket.

That way the triangular piece hits the bolt/bracket first - stopping the tyre carrier from travelling too far.

Cool bracket, as for jack height, use a grinder or run it under a drop saw and take a couple inches off the top. are you ever going to use those last few inches anyway?

the carrier is made by bestop. Costs about $450AU landed from the states. Is good for a 33" tyre but requires a few permanent irreversable body mods. The carrier is supported through the tub onto some inner brackets which bolt to the roll cage/seat belt mount and the chassis (i think the bottom bracket attached to the chassis from memory.) Quite a good carrier for the price and is rated to hold 200lbs. constructed quite well.
