If just keeping a battery topped up those 2w battery charging panels are the simplest as they just need to be put in the sun and connected to a battery.. On my old Colorado I had 120w panel on roof and a 10amp PWM solar controller inside and it kept the battery good for the fridge, the controller must be able to select AGM/Gel, Calcium though or it my use wrong charging regime....
The one on my shed for boat battery is a 200w house panel so 46v (not 22v like a caravan panel) so needs a controller that can handle that voltage, I happened to have one from a van, the cheapies are usually good for about 30v DC.... it just plugs into the boat battery with an anderson plug and does its thing so I don;t have to stuff around with it.....
