Hey mate, Congrats on you wrangler. In oct last year I was exactly like you. I went to a 4x4 park up here in Bris and straight out of the box with standard height it didnt awesome. Go have a crack at some tracks and test your skill without scratching the paint to much

Thanks for the advice and suggestions guys.. I'll take it easy and get a feel of the car before I start with the mods.

What are some 4WD areas that are suitable for a novice around Perth?

Powerlines- inland hillclimbs, ruts, rocks and Wilblinga- sandunes, beach, tracks....are the best of both situations in Perth.

Take a friend and go explore what the JK can do!

Matt.

Get out and enjoy it as it is for awhile, you'll be pleasantly surprised. ( its probably more capable than you... and i'm not having a go )

Also when on trips keep an eye on other Wranglers... find out what they built it to do, and then ask what mods they made. Following a well troden path makes sense once you know where you want to go.

Just go with another vehicle for safetys sake.
