Just on the fyrlyt's, you can switch between spot & spread on each light. Toggle at the back. My dad runs the rallies and also loves them

I love the Britax XrayVision's I picked up a couple of years ago from TJM. Solid alloy construction, clear lens covers over the real glass clear lens. The light pattern is controlled by the reflector so the clear glass lens allows all light to pass unhindered. I bought them with the 100w halogen globes but bought a set of ebay 55w HID 4300k H1 globes to fit in them. One spot and one spread.

Probably want some HID's.

I've heard good things about the Hella's.

But I've no idea whether to get the predators, the rallye 4000's and then in these, weather to get pencil or spread.

I do a lot of back road / dirt road driving and bush and need a good spread so I'm guessing that solves the pencil / spread issue.

And while I hear good things about led, the hid from what I understand have more distance?

In that case .....

Hella? And if so, which? Anyone with personal experience? Are the rallye 4000 halogen or hid? I can only see them in compact on their website?

Thanks for the help guys!

If you are set on Hella, get some Rally 4000 halogens and a HID conversion kit off ebay.. it's plug and play and you will have tonnes of light.. I had Narva 225 with HID and to be honest, they were too bright.. the night blindness after turning them off was shocking.. I now run a small 20" Monsterlights LED bar in place of them and much prefer it.. I dont have the huge range of the HID, but it is still far enough and my immediate surroundings are light up very well..
I also have a 50" bar above the windscreen for offroad work.. too much glare from it for the road..

If you want spread get led it's the best product for that purpose, if your keen on hid then get what there good at and settle with the spot pattern, otherwise no point and get the led or both if you have the funds.

Those Hella lights are almost $1500 a light for the predator that's 3k for a pair. The top light force lights are half that and there Australian, I know which I would choose if I was going down that path. But I can see down my path already with my monster lightbar so I don't need to.

Check out

It shows that there is a big difference between similar lights. The better Halagens are better than the cheaper HID's
