Got onto Amsoil in Sydney who have quart sized containers (964ml) for $22 each. Quoted freight was $16. So that's pretty good in comparison to the dealer rip off.

Also called Penrite in Oz and they said the Pro-Gear 75-90 is suitable but don't have details on it being MS-9224 compliant. Also seems like that particular one isn't widely available.

After all that I found this old thread which goes through a similar discussion. http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ion+oil+change

Hope that is of use to someone. Probably not many of the 2.5 manuals around anymore.
Redline MTL is Chrysler MS9224 spec.

I buy from here mate:

https://www.performancelub.com/

It's $25 per quart + $15 postage.

I have a spare quart in the garage (I'm in Brisbane too), as I got 3 when I only need 2 if you're interested. $30 would cover what I paid (inc. postage).

Well without reading this I've just placed the order for the Amsoil. Similar cost and I did only buy 2 quarts so good to know that will do the job. Thanks.

Also ordered new OEM air and oil filters so should have a happy KJ next weekend.

The Amsoil turned up today so getting sorted to do the fluid change. I've looked at a few pump options and I'll be buggered if I'm paying the asking price for the majority of fluid filler bottles out there. So, I've used these sprayers from Bunnings on many occasions and thinking that this should do the job well.

I'll just pop the hose off before the steel wand and then get it happening. Let me know if you see any issues or have a better alternative but at under $10 this thing is looking good.

EDIT; Another option is any cheap squeeze bottle. Found this one on eBay. 1L capacity. Probably lots more out there with a bit of lateral thinking. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dispense...r=521795772512

I use a Tom Thumb pump... They're about $20.
