That looks pretty good. What model Clarion, and what year WH do you have? Note that 2007-2008 is where it gets messy. Mines a 2007, although complianced in 2008. If the bottom of the headlights are straight, its 2007 or before, if they are rounded, then its 2008 or above. That's where the canbus changes which allows steering wheel controls (so I believe). Do the steering wheel controls work? Thanks

It's a vx402a. I have a my2006 without steering wheel controls but they have a plug and play adapter.

When you put the standard 2din radio in do you have to change/buy the brackets to mount the radio if so where do you get them from and also the little half circle inserts?
Cheers

ebay Crap
Hi all,
Finally have my ebay special fitted.
Only had it fitted this afternoon, so havent had too much of a chance to play with it. These are my findings to date: -
* Bluetooth works OK, however it won't download my phonebook. Tends to crackle.
* Radio works well.
* GPS seems to work OK.
* Reverse camera works well.
* Fits in the original space.
Now for the negatives: -
* Back up from supplier is crap. Even though my auto electrician has installed over 2000 similar units, they kept blaming him.
* Had to install extra relays, bypasses etc for it to work (basically bypass the canbus).
* Cost me way more for the install than what the unit is worth.
* Screen is hard to see in the sunlight.
My advice to others? Spend the extra coin to purchase a well known brand that has good backup and is easy to install.
Regards, Craig
