So the lights are not available part in Australia I was told today so I asked for a tow bar instead. So that will be fitted tomorrow and should get my car back tomorrow night.

Should ask for the cash & spend it at one of the guys like DBOR or Trax.

Not sure of the OP's situation but no one would ever give cash over the equivalent value in parts. $1000 in parts probably costs the dealer under $500. $1000 in cash obviously costs the dealer $1000.

Yeah.....you aren't going to get value on the LED lights from the dealer...better with the factory towbar kit.
Get the lights from one of the forum sponsors....nearly all would have windscreen brackets ...... you can get single mounts or twin light mounts....some designed for LED cube style lamps, some designed for generic single stud mounts (think round multi LED lamps), all depends what you want. Research which style of lamp you want...driving or flood or combo.
Congrats on your new JKU.

I don't want to give the dealer a bad name so I would like to keep it to myself but I am very disappointed and frustrated with them. They won't give cash but are fitting a tow bar instead. I hope to head down to Melbourne on Friday to spend some $$$ at DBOR it's about 3.5 hrs away so going to make the most of it haha

Wouldn't get much change out of $1000 for supply and install of the tow bar from a dealer anyway! I think the quote I got was actually over that. Cost me $430 supply only from the local dealer price matching in the end.

I think though it was your best choice for a dealer supplied accessory. Have fun at DBOR when you go!
