after market loom separately powered relays, using the internal light switch as a trigger only, is the only solution

used to be a guy here who made them (JJ) unfortunately he moved on

pity

Hahaha high guys… long time for a reply / up date… yeah no solution as yet… it come it goes, my foot just know where to tap under the dash instinctively now to get them back on hahaha.

I have some leave soon, must get under the dash and find the earth and may be look at the switch hahaha…

Have a transmission issue now which is more pressing… working through that…

I had my switch replaced about 3 years ago [with new factory switch] and I would still be driving in the dark at night. I then got ARB to install their after market loom with the factory H4 headlights remaining in place (standard bulbs). The lights are now brighter than they ever were, and the problem has been resolved. 95 Sport.

All the mopar vehicles I have owned over many years all have a thermal auto resetting circuit breaker built into the headlight switches.

What happens is when more powerful bulbs are added or extra lamps are added to the headlight circuits results in lights flicking off and then coming back on automatically after a short time of operation. The auto resetting circuit breaker cycles continuously whilst overloaded. The arb lighting loom takes the higher headlight load off the switch and puts the load through a relay.
