I would wait until the end of 2011 when the new V6 engine arrives. It's supposed to have a lot more power and better fuel economy. The CRD is better than the 2007-2010 V6 engine but it has had it's problems.

This also some exterior changes coming to the wrangler next year as well.

what problems exactly have been related to the motor directly?

So you guys are all saying that the crd has more balls than the V6.
What problems did you encounter with the crd and is there anyone here that has the V6 and happy with it?

According to specs the petrol has 146kw and the diesel 130kw.

Insignificant. Take a closer look at the torque figures.

i have the V6 Rubi 4 door and i am happy with it. No power machine but does the job adequately and is a reliable motor and cheaper to service and cost less to buy

The V6 in the 2 door is fine, been driving mine for work the last couple of days and once you work out the go pedal needs a reasonably heavy boot to get it to move it goes quite well! Also pretty economical for 4WD, averaging 10.5 on the dial today after some good runs.
