My 2010 has a transmission cooler fitted. As I ordered the car with the tow pack I don't know if it is part of the pack or standard fit. The cooler is mounted between the intercooler and the radiator, underneath the aircon condenser. Someone in another thread mentioned, if I read it correctly, that it might be a combination cooler as a one-piece with the aircon condenser. I hope that's not the case, as combination coolers have a nasty habit of cracking due to the dissimilar temperatures of the media that they are trying to cool causing the metal of the cooler to expand at different rates.

All wranglers come with a factory standard cooler that is part of the condensor.

For petrol auto's that have the tow pack fitted there is a dealer fitted external cooler fitted that goes in front of the radiator.

As far as I am aware there isn't one available for the CRD JK's as of yet due to the intercooler being in the way of fitting.

I did read that one some time ago. I wasn't aware that the standard one was inadequate. As I do go 4wding and tow a camper trailer I guess I better start looking to fit one. Thanks for the advice.

On the KJ CRDs the factory transmisison cooler is integrated into the bottom of the Air Con condensor in front of the intercooler up front. Easy to see if your CRD has one just follow the tranny cooler hard lines up to the front and see where they go.

Does anyone know how much a dealer would charge for a cooler all sourced and fitted?

B&M racing, Plate & fin design, got it from Rocket industry, made in canada, $150.

Leo muller at mansfield will fit your own cooler, was quoted for 2hr worth of work.
