Why would you think they reinforce the roof ?
They simply remove the roof rails completely and bolt their rack straight to the roof, the GC roof is incredibly strong, @ 4.5 gvm crush rated, it is the flimsy original roof rails that can only take the 68kg load.
To remove the Gobi simply undo the six bolts either side (bolt into the roof) and take the rack off, just make sure you replace the bolts to keep roof water tight
